God's Promises

Today's Confession:

I do not regard wickedness in my heart so I know God hears me when I pray and He will tell me great & mighty things.

Psalm 66:18 "If I regard wickedness in my heart, the Lord will not hear."
1 John 5:14-15 "This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him."
Jeremiah 33:3 "Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know."

So yesterday I was driving to the grocery store and I was waiting to take a left turn into the shopping plaza.... While I was waiting to turn a Driver's Ed car was coming up and turning right into the plaza.  Ok...I am on alert now!!! ha ...So as the car turned in to the plaza....it kept turning right and it went up the hill onto the grass.  I couldn't believe it.  I am still laughing about it.  It was a wild ride and as I drove by the Driver's Ed Teacher started waving at me....he seemed to be saying...this stuff happens all the time and you have no idea how fun it is!  HA HA...

So how about our walks with the Lord?  Sometimes we take a certain part of the Word and start running with it but we end up ignoring other very important parts of God's Word.  Can you picture what I am saying?  That is where the Pharisees missed it back in the day.  They were so focused on the Laws that they totally missed Jesus, who was right in front of them.

I never can seem to get Charles Capps' story out of my head and you need to hear it too.  He said that one night a couple came to him and said that they decided before the service that were going to quit their jobs and live by faith.  Charles said..."Don't quit your job to live by faith....Keep your Job and still live by faith!"  So often people think that being spiritual means sitting around and not doing anything but praying and thinking.  Well, that is certainly not true.  Every minister you see on TV or in a pulpit is working HARD!  I know you don't see that, but boy is it ever true.  The reality of it is that you know Joyce Meyer's name because she and her husband work hard and they have a team that works hard behind them.  There is so much to do for the body of Christ.  Can you see this?

Now I am well aware that people get caught up in that...Oh I don't have a ministry or I don't know what I am suppose to do.  Then the devil comes and plays on that.  I have heard it over and over again.  Satan the accuser of the brethren and he is all about getting us to have a pitiful attitude.  He is coming to steal from us.
But let's read 1 Corinthians 2:9-10
9  But, as it is written,"What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him"—
10 "these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit.  For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God."

Oh this makes me cry because I just feel that Satan is trying to keep us from realizing how much God has planned for each believer.  God has wonderful things planned for you.  IT IS SUPERNATURAL!  You do not have to figure it out...THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL LEAD YOU RIGHT INTO IT!

So if you are desiring to connect with God's plan for your life... daily take time beyond this devotion to reach out and worship Him ...here is an excellent song by Hillsong... The Power of Your Love  to worship along with.  Music is so powerful in helping us get into a worshipful attitude.

Now maybe you want to know what I do on a day to day basis when it comes to the Lord and following His will.  Well, the key for me to coming out of an attack that the enemy sends is always to GIVE to the Work of the Lord.  I find a seed to sow into the kingdom and remind myself that life on earth is a vapor, but what I do for the Kingdom of God has eternal value.  Eternity is what matters so I get my mind off myself and do something that makes a difference in eternity.  This makes all the difference when the focus becomes heaven.  So you can do the same thing.  You can sow into the Clothed With Love Ministry, you can work in the nursery, you can sow into Missions, or you can sow into the Prayer Shawl Ministry, or you can sow in the Angel Food ministry or you can bake a pie and take it to someone, or take someone out to eat.  There are so many ways to get yourself and your problems off of your mind.

So anything coming to mind you can do?  If so....do not delay...do it for the Lord!

Sending Love and Encouragement,
Kendal
