Today's Confession:

I love you Lord with all my heart, soul and mind.And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.  Deuteronomy 6:5

The other day I was watching an episode of the Andy Griffith show.  When I tuned in I saw Barney was in the jail house playing checkers.....with Himself!  It was so cute to watch because each time it was time for a move by what would be each player...he would move into the seat of whoever was to make a move on the board.  The interesting part was that Barney also got into the character of the person who was making a move.  So he was playing frustrated or sad or mad ....depending on the move that was being made.

Well, as I thought about this episode yesterday as I was driving....I thought you know we are all playing a game so to speak in our own lives and there is someone playing opposite us as well.  That is SATAN. He is making moves towards us and trying to discourage us and get us off the path of righteousness.  Now we have to be wise about this and realize that every day of our lives is important and every move we make will impact us in some way.  The huge question is ....which way will it impact us.

Now I know that we usually don't give too much thought to every move we make but Satan is watching us and looking for ways to bring us discouragement and sadness and lack. But the good news is that you do not have to do it all in your own strength.  The exciting part is that where human strength ends....that is where God EXCELS!  That is right folks, He knows how to help us in EVERY SINGLE SITUATION that you are in.  It doesn't matter if it is sickness, relationship trouble or financial distress.  God has the answers that you are looking for and the answers you need every single time.  There are no exceptions to this.

So today....when you find yourself thinking about problems in life, whether they are yours or someone else's....don't go on thinking the way you have always done. Ask God "How do you see this? Please Show me in Your Holy Word the answers as to what to say and how to pray." As we yield to Him and His Words and His plan...things look a whole lot different. Satan's plan always feels hopeless and awful so that is why we want God's vision because it brings hope and victory into EVERY Situation.  AMEN.

When I Need to Be Rescued out of TroubleThank You, Lord, for who You are in my life.  I reverence You above all else in this world.  I know that in my worship and praise and awe of You, there is a flow of Your Spirit that is released to me that brings Your life to flow into mine.  This flow of Your life carries me away from the pitfalls of destruction and death.  Praising You lifts me above the trouble in my life and into Your presence, where I am safe.  Help me to remember to praise You first, no matter what is happening around me. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death.  PROVERBS 14:27  AMEN!
