Today's Confession:
I know that I must remain FULL of the Word of God to Win in this Life so that is what I choose to do.
1 Peter 1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
I was looking at this new cordless house phone I have and the battery signal on it always seems to have two out of three bars. I don't know why it is that way even though it remains on the charger overnight. I thought it would finally get full but looking at it this morning...it still only has two bars.
That reminded me of our walks with the Lord again. It is so easy to function below the Full level. It seems that after Sunday we can start fading fast even though we really felt God's presence. Just think about it though....after all when we fill up our car with gas and drive around a bit...it doesn't remain full for very long does it? So it is natural for us that is the way it is with the Lord too. How many of you come and fill up with the Devotion and fill inspired but walk away and in just a bit of time...thoughts come in and discouragement tries to settle in your mind? Doesn't it seem to be lurking around every day? The devil is constantly bombarding us with things that bring us down. Now I know I say that TV has a big part in it but it isn't always TV that does it. It can be just pondering things that are happening to people you know as well or looking at your life and thinking about it and thinking perhaps ...I never thought I would be here or perhaps you are thinking....hey, I thought I would be so much further along. Well, when we get in to that mode, we can get down and out pretty quickly. It is like everything just comes together, almost like it is magnetized together. Everything in our lives is connected together. The Bible says that we are wonderfully made. Now that is not a statement that we hear often or probably think about but it is absolutely true.
Now there is one way I remember that I am wonderfully made and that is by having posted an affirmation that I heard from Norman Vincent Peale. It goes...
"Thank you, God for my clear mind. Thank you for my sturdy heart. Thank you for my sound lungs, my marvelous network of veins and arteries, my reliable digestive system. Thank you for my eyesight and hearing. Thank you for the perfection of your creative workmanship as it appears throughout my body. "
So can you see how that helps you with that seeing just how wonderful you are? Hmmmm God loves us so much and we have heard it before but it bears saying again...GOD DOESN'T MAKE ANY JUNK!
So take time today to appreciate how wonderfully made you are and thank the Lord for making you. :)
Sending Love and Encouragement,
Kendal
