Know Christ: What Does God Think of YOU?

The Bible answers this question. It starts with the understanding that God does not break his promises.

His promises include:

1. God loves you. “We have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe” (1 Timothy 4:10).

2. God wants to forgive you. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

3. Jesus makes salvation possible. “But it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who had destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:10).

4. God wants to prosper you. “May you be blessed by the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth” (Psalm 115:15).

5. Salvation is available to every person. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Faith is an essential part of being a Christian. Faith accepts the fact that Christ died for our sins. Faith gives us peace and joy in knowing Christ our Savior has saved us and as a result, the Holy Spirit is at work within us, enabling us to experience spiritual growth. The result: true freedom. “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). Christ is the One who made freedom from sin and condemnation possible. “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we night become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

God's Plan of Salvation

1. The penalty for sin is death. Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death.”

2. Jesus paid the penalty for sin. Romans 5:8: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

3. Receiving Jesus as our personal Savior. Romans 10:9: “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.”

4. Having the assurance of God’s forgiveness. John 1:12: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.”

My decision to pray and receive Jesus Christ as my personal Savior…

Dear Lord Jesus,
I confess that I am a sinner in need of a Savior. Thank you, Jesus, for dying on the cross to take away my sins. I am sorry for all the wrong I have done. Please forgive me. I ask you right now to come into my heart as my own personal Lord and Savior. Thank you, Jesus, for coming into my life and saving my soul. Amen.
