Dear Loving Church Family and Friends,

A warm “hello” from the Smolchuck family. Life is very exciting as we watch the growth of our granddaughter, Baleigh Kristen Kay Flora. She is a ray of sunshine and each smile and new response brings us great joy. For nine months as Shari was carrying the baby, we looked forward to the day when we could see the little life that was growing inside her. Over the last three months since her birth, Baleigh has brought gladness to her parents, Steve and Shari and she has energized her extended family of Great Grandparents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. We can’t wait to see Baleigh in the Easter Parade on Sunday morning. New clothes and new life speak of the resurrection of Jesus.

When Jesus was born, the love and grace of God were no longer distant, uncertain concepts. For the first time, in the gift of His Son, we could touch and hold His love and grace in our hands. Jesus was our window through which we could look into the heart of God and understand how He feels about us. And this is what we found:

“.......neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

Recently God has been speaking to us through new songs. The song, “Your Later Will Be Greater” has elevated our faith for the future to a new level. Then we learned “On The Basis Of The Blood”, which reminds us of that powerful weapon in our fight against hell. THE POWER OF THE BLOOD, by Maxwell Whyte will change your life. It is available in the Church Book Nook for $10.

We may never realize here on earth the significance of our lives for God’s kingdom. In the Bible we are told that our life is like a “vapor” that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Every one of us can make our lives count for God’s kingdom by dedicating ourselves to a life of prayer. God has called us as a Church Family to meet in the Church Sanctuary every night to pray. Our main focus is to worship and praise Jesus, our King. As we worship and wait on God, He receives our worship, bringing us into His Presence. At the March 8th Prayer Meeting, He said He was giving us “uncommon favor”. Several testimonies have come from people at that Prayer Meeting. One lady saved $200 when she went to get the tires on her car fixed. The man working on her car decided to keep doing more things for free. She recognized she was being shown “uncommon favor”.

On March 27th, God showed up at Prayer Meeting in a powerful way. One lady said she was in Flint visiting her daughter when she had a strong desire to leave so she could get to Prayer Meeting. God’s presence was so strong. Many burdens were lifted and no one wanted to go home. Healings took place, direction was given to one man who had come with questions, asking the Holy Spirit to give him direction on several matters. Praise Reports are still coming from people who were at that Prayer Meeting. This is the third year that we have been meeting every night to pray. With the added activities surrounding the arrival of our new grandchild, it hasn’t ben possible to record all of the miracles as we have done in the past. Here are just a few “highlights”:

Physical Healings

Savannah Garcia had a high fever and was up all night, crying with pain. Heidi took her to the doctor who diagnosed a double ear infection and prescribed a strong antibiotic. The Doctor said it would take a few days for the medicine to circulate through her body and bring relief. That night, her parents, Pete and Heidi Garcia and her grandparents, Maynard and Esther Hunt, prayed together, using the Name of Jesus and the His blood to take authority over the infection. Heidi had checked her temperature just before they prayed and it was 102. As they prayed, Savannah stopped crying and they took her temperature again. Within just five minutes, her temperature had returned to normal. She checked it a second time – it was normal, then a third time –it was normal. Savannah stopped crying and slept through the night. At the next visit to the Doctor, just four days later, the miracle was confirmed. The Doctor was amazed to find no infection in either ear, even though Savannah had taken less than half of the medicine prescribed. When Heidi reported the miracle, the Doctor was shocked.

Bob Brown was having difficulty with his eyes and had to have cataracts removed. He was restricted from driving. We made this a matter of prayer. Upon his visit to the Doctor, remarkable improvement had been made. He is now able to drive again.

Joy Bacon was hospitalized several times with kidney failure. She was on dialysis. After Barb Bacon requested prayer for her step mother, God touched her and her kidneys started functioning again. She is no longer on dialysis.

Sandy Pratt’s daughter, Vivian, is expecting her third child. The Doctor told her the baby had Downs Syndrome. Sandy requested prayer for the unborn child. On Vivian’s next visit to the Doctor, it was confirmed, God healed the baby and the Doctor could find no trace of Downs Syndrome.

Others healed: Bridget Hinds - long standing back problem causing severe pain was healed...... Sadie Shorter is a miracle in motion as God continues to remove cancer from her......Maynard Hunt has regained his strength and has made astonishing progress...... Rosie Mitas experienced a miracle of healing at Prayer Meeting.... Tina Walton was healed of a bowel obstruction and surgery was not needed.....Cheryl Dembinski’s mother is out of hospital...

Financial and mother miracles

Lewis and Jeanette Moore and their daughter, Alicia Boggs had each purchased a square of shingles to repair God’s House and received a financial miracle in the form of an “Upgrade”. A while back, they had booked a Cruise, reserving an inside cabin because of the cost. In the back of their minds, they desired something nicer. After planting their seed for the roof replacement, they got the desire of their heart for the Cruise. Alicia received a call from the travel agent informing her that Carnival had upgraded them to a BALCONY SUITE.. No one in the travel agent’s office had ever known this to happen before.

Elizabeth Christenson needed finances for next semester at SVSU. She has been coming to Prayer Meetings and believing God would supply her need. She had submitted several applications for scholarships and grants. To her surprise, she received all the finances for next semester. When she got on line to check out responses to her applications, she had to get a calculator to add up the figures.

Keith and Judy Schramm’s six-year-old grandson, Nathan, asked Jesus into his heart. (There is a very moving story that goes with this testimony. Ask Keith or Judy to tell you about it, since we don’t have room to print it.)
