Letters Archive: August 2004 Back to our Homepage Dearest Loving Church Family, We trust that you are enjoying the goodness and blessings of the Lord this summer. Although we miss you while you are away, we are happy that you are following the example of Jesus to have times of getting away for rest and rejuvenation. During these times, we can enjoy Family Reunions or special times with friends. Life is short and so many opportunities that exist now won’t be here tomorrow. We also must have adequate rest to operate at our full potential. Your mother’s advice to “go outside and play” is still valid today. Vacations restore our strength, energy, peace, freshness and enable us to minister these things to others. Jesus said to His disciples in Mark 6:31-32 (NIV) “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” That’s good advice. We always try to send you a bulletin and audio tape of the services you missed. Sometimes we happen to be on vacation the same week as you. In case that happens, you can call the church office and request a free tape and bulletin. We appreciate your faithfulness to your home Church Family with your tithes and offerings because the expenses of keeping the church doors open, don’t take a vacation. Newcomers often tell us that they couldn’t keep from weeping as they encountered the strong presence of God as the body of Christ joined together in worship. The Holy Spirit moves in our services, bringing physical, mental, and spiritual healing. You will be blessed as you continue to get acquainted with us and the many services and classes offered to help you fulfill God’s purpose for your life. You didn’t find us by accident. God has led you here so we can journey together and experience life at its best – Abundant Life in Christ! Serving the Master and His people, Pastor Fred and Jetta Smolchuck |
